Rail Fleet Safety Program & Mobile Operations Risk Management

Tyree Rail maintains a disciplined and proactive safety program to support its mobile fueling and lubrication operations across the rail industry. With a focus on reducing incident risk and promoting operational continuity, Tyree Rail integrates technology, driver accountability, and rigorous procedures into every aspect of its fleet operations.

Key safety measures include:

  • Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Reviews: Tyree Rail conducts regular MVR checks for all CDL drivers to ensure compliance with internal safety standards and DOT requirements.

  • Controlled Service Areas: Operations are strategically scheduled within defined geographic zones to reduce driving fatigue and long-haul exposure, while maximizing on-time delivery.

  • Vehicle Security Protocols: Service trucks and mobile units are securely garaged, locked, and routinely inspected—minimizing theft and unauthorized access to equipment and fuel.

  • Driver Training & Fleet Monitoring: All drivers receive ongoing training in defensive driving and rail yard protocols. Tyree Rail also uses real-time GPS and telematics to monitor driver behavior, flagging speed, idle time, and harsh maneuvers for review.

  • Pre- and Post-Trip Inspections: Drivers perform mandatory inspections before and after each route to ensure vehicle safety and environmental compliance, particularly when operating in rail-adjacent areas.

  • Environmental and Spill Preparedness: With strict fueling and lubrication protocols in place, Tyree Rail prioritizes containment, spill prevention, and environmental stewardship in every service call.

Through these practices, Tyree Rail ensures its fleet operates with the precision and care required in the high-stakes rail environment—safely delivering service that keeps locomotives moving.
